Hierarch of the Russian Church Outside of Russia gives part of the relics of the venerable martyrs Elizabeth and Barbara to the Diocese of Vladikavkaz of the Moscow Patriarchate ( 27.06.2006 )

On 22 June 2006, during his visit to Northern Osetia, Archbishop Mark of Berlin and Germany (Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia) gave the diocese of Stavropol and Vladikavkaz of the Moscow Patriarchate part of the relics of the venerable martyrs, the Grand duchess Elizabeth and the nun Barbara.

The relics are to be enshrined in the church of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos in Vladikavkaz, and are afterwards to be moved to the Annunciation women’s monastery in Beslan, Northern Osetia, where the Moscow Patriarchate and the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia have agreed to build a rehabilitation center in memory of the Beslan

victims.
